Audition: “Applebee’s” @ Ross Lacy Casting.  Oh my, my “wife” in this audition was so charming and beautiful that I don’t even remember what happened.  I think it went well.

Callback: “Denny’s” @ Ross Lacy Casting.  I had a complete blast with my “son & daughter” in this callback.  They weren’t the same kids from the first audition, but they were just as incredible.  Myself?  I had a great time, but I stumbled over some of the dialogue.  I’ll be surprised if I hear anything more.

Audition: “Denny’s” @ Ross Lacy Casting.  So, so much fun.  I got to be the father of a son and a daughter and they were fantastic to work with.  I have to get a callback on this.

This morning my new iPhone 5 was delivered…and I’m really excited.  Over a new phone?  Yeah.  I’m guilty.  I use my ALL OF THE TIME; rarely for calls and only sometimes for texting, but I listen to podcasts all day long. Being a bit of an information junkie, it gives me the feel of being in college…even though I have no idea what it feels like to be in college.  I have to say that my iPhone has enabled me to conveniently consume an enormous amount of information daily.

Audition/Producers: “Shameless” @ John Levey Casting.  Uhh, I wasn’t bad at all in this, but I did trip up a few lines.  The problem is that “not being bad” is not usually good enough, because one of my fellow performers, most likely knocked it out of the park.

Callback: “HBO Promo” @ Ross Lacy Casting.  This callback went great and I’m PERFECT for it and I was so good in the room.  At least I thought so.  Hopefully, they will agree.

Audition: ”HBO Promo” @ Ross Lacy Casting.  I was great in this one if I say so myself.  I had a great group of fellow actors to work off of too.

Audition: “HP” @ Dan Bell Casting.  Simple, fun group stuff.  Basically a look and reaction.  I looked.  I reacted.

Audition “American Airlines” @ Cast Partner Casting.  This was fun and that might have been because I was a little confused as to what was going on.  I’m learning how to be okay with not knowing everything from my improv classes.

Audition: “” @ Jessica J. Casting.  C’mon man!  I nailed this one.  I read with a guy I see on TV all the time in the US Postal Service commercials.

It’s Labor Day Weekend…I think I celebrated by working like a crazy man at the restaurant.  Geez.  How much longer will I be able to do that???  Slinging burgers and fries is what I do, but I am capable of so much more.

Don’t get me wrong, I certainly appreciate my employment; it was instrumental in me becoming debt-free and THAT is a great thing.  I would love to have an employee like myself on the payroll. I work very hard and I’m extremely reliable.

This weekend especially tough because of “no shows” or “call-ins”.  Yeah, I made extra money, but I have to wonder if it’s worth it.  I don’t have many friends that I hang out with on any type of regular basis so I don’t usually feel like I’m missing much by “just going to work”.

I have one more class left of my Level 1 Improv studies @ iO; it’s been a lot of fun and I look forward to starting Level 2 next week.  I think it’s going to help me loosen up in the room and audition at a higher level…and hopefully that will lead to more fun and more bookings.  I sure hope so.
