So I went to see The Lego movie with the 5 year-old mentee, his foster mom and the social worker.  I didn’t want to come on too strong with the little guy, but I wanted him to know that I was there.  I was pretty low-key so he could get used to me at his pace. 

At one point he was unhappy about something and I took the opportunity to attempt to reason with him and help him through it.  It worked!
